Bibim Korea Day: A Celebration of Korean Culture in Berlin (en)

The first Bibim Korea Day took place on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in Berlin, Germany. Hosted by Bibim Korean Art, this event aims to grow into a rich and diverse cultural platform in the years ahead.

This year’s program offered around three hours of Korean traditional arts, starting with two immersive cultural experiences—“Experience & Learn Korean Traditional Dance: Fan Dance” and “Experience & Learn Korean Music: Gayageum”followed by an interactive Korean traditional art workshop, and concluding with a mini concert. The event was made possible through the collaboration of Berlin Korean Dance Project, Berlin Gayageum Ensemble, and the Sorichum Project.

In addition to Bibim Korea Day, Bibim Korean Art also hosts the annual Bibim Korean Art Concert, held on the first weekend of December. The upcoming 3rd Bibim Concert will take place in December 2025, continuing the tradition of celebrating the year’s end with Korean music and dance.

Based in Berlin, Bibim Korean Art is an arts organization committed to introducing Korean culture to a wide and diverse audience. With creativity and passion, the group reinterprets and innovates traditional Korean arts for today’s world. We are especially proud that Bibim Korean Art is led by two accomplished young women artists—Melissa Minseong Seo, a Korean traditional dancer and director of Berlin Korean Dance Project, and Hyunjeong Park, a gayageum artist and director of Berlin Gayageum Ensemble—who are dedicated to revitalizing Korea’s cultural heritage.
